Recovery: Rebuild Faster, Train Harder, Feel Better
Rated 5.0 By 70+ Locals
Recovery isn't the optional extra.
It's where the progress happens.
Training, work and everyday life all place a load on the body. Recovery is what turns that load into progress instead of breakdown.
Whether you're chasing a weekend PB, backing up for a Saturday game, working a physical job, or rehabbing an injury, how well you recover shapes how well you perform.
At Regen Health, recovery isn't an afterthought bolted onto the clinic. It's built into the space. Our Caringbah facility brings physiotherapy, a fully equipped gym, a running track and dedicated recovery tools together in one place, so training, rehab and recovery all happen in the same visit.
If you’re ready to recover properly and get back to doing what you love, book your appointment today.

More than a hot room and a cold tub
Anyone can install a sauna. What matters is knowing when and how to use it. Our physiotherapists build recovery into your plan, so you’re not left guessing and the time you spend here supports what you’re working towards.
-
Rehab and recovery in the one visit
Finish your physio session and step straight into the sauna, ice bath or compression boots. Everything is available in the one place, so there’s no second booking, no second location and no driving across the Shire to continue your recovery.

A facility built for it
Infrared sauna, ice bath, compression therapy, treatment rooms, a fully equipped gym and a running track, all under one roof in Caringbah. Everything you need for treatment, training and recovery is right here in the one facility.
We treat the cause, not the symptom, and we apply the same thinking to recovery. Rather than handing you a menu of tools and wishing you luck, our physios help you use the right ones, at the right time, for what your body is actually doing that week.
How a recovery session works.
Who You'll Be Working With
CHRIS PARADISIS
Chris built Regen Health around a simple idea: getting someone out of pain is only half the job. The other half is building them back strong enough to help prevent the problem from returning.
Get that right and treatment can be targeted from the first session, helping reduce time in pain and unnecessary appointments. From there, it’s hands-on treatment to settle the immediate problem, followed by load, strength and capacity work to prepare you for what comes next.
Chris also takes the time to explain what’s going on, so you can better understand your injury and make informed decisions about it. His focus is on improving how you function, rather than keeping you in treatment longer than you need to be.

JACKSON GIBSON
Jackson has more than twelve years of experience in strength and conditioning and has played A-grade football himself. He knows what it takes to train through a season, back up week after week and keep performing when your body isn’t at one hundred percent.
His experience ranges from high-performance athletes to people stepping into a gym for the first time. Whether you’re coming back from surgery, preparing for a season or building strength from the ground up, he takes the time to understand your goals, your schedule and what your body has already been through.
Programs are built around you and adjusted as you progress. If something flares, Jackson can modify the work rather than simply stopping, while explaining what’s changing and why.

recovery FAQ
-
No. Plenty of people use our recovery services on their own without ever needing an appointment. That said, if something is genuinely bothering you, a physio session first means the recovery you do afterwards is actually pointed at the problem.
-
Heat opens up blood flow to the muscles and helps them relax, which is why it's useful for stiffness and general soreness after training.
Beyond that, a lot of people use it simply to switch off, and there's a strong argument that the relaxation and the better sleep afterwards do as much for your recovery as anything happening in the muscle itself.
It isn't a magic bullet. It's a genuinely pleasant way to make recovery something you actually do consistently, and consistency is the part that matters.
-
It depends on your training, your schedule and what you're trying to achieve. Some people come in twice a week as routine maintenance, others use it heavily through a competition block and back off in the off-season.
We'll give you a straight answer based on your week rather than a generic protocol.
-
Usually not, and this is the question we get asked most. Current research suggests that cold water immersion immediately after resistance training may blunt some of the strength and muscle-building adaptations you're chasing.
If your goal that day was to build strength, we'll generally suggest leaving a few hours between the session and the cold, or using the sauna or compression instead. If your goal is to back up and perform again quickly, like a tournament weekend, that calculation changes.
It's exactly the kind of thing worth asking us about.
-
It sits at around 6 degrees. The first thirty seconds are honestly the worst part, and then your breathing settles.
We start beginners with shorter exposures and coach you through the breathing, so it's controlled rather than a shock. Most people are surprised by how quickly it becomes manageable, and a fair few end up preferring it to the sauna.
-
Sessions run between 20 and 30 minutes, and we cap it at four people at a time so nobody is sitting on top of anybody else. If you're new to it, start at the shorter end and see how you pull up.
-
Swimmers or shorts, a towel, and a water bottle. For compression therapy, comfortable shorts or leggings. That's it.
-
In many cases yes, but it depends on the injury. Some conditions and health circumstances mean heat or cold isn't appropriate, and there are a handful of situations where we'd ask you to check with your doctor first.
Have a chat with one of our physios before your first session and we'll let you know what's suitable.
